The problem
What needed solving.
Collision One and Sales is a one-man body shop in Springfield, Missouri.
Customers want a price before they drive over. The owner wants to see the damage before he quotes. Phone calls cost both of them time.
So the site takes photos up front, and the owner sends a real estimate from his phone or his desk.
What we built.
Photo intake
A three-step request form. Customers add up to six photos, and the browser shrinks them before they upload.
Quote desk behind a PIN
The shop's desk is locked with a hashed PIN, throttled logins and an emailed reset.
Line-item estimates
Eight line types and totals that update as the owner types.
PDF estimates
Made on the server with embedded fonts and real page numbers.
One-click email
Each estimate gets the next number and goes to the customer in one click.
Job board
Four columns on a computer. A simple chip list on a phone.
Invoices
A paid invoice flow with a lock that stops a double send.
Monitored and backed up weekly
A daily keep-alive, a weekly emailed backup, a health check and a restore script. New requests still reach the shop by email if the database is down.
